Audit Trails Explained

Brandkit maintains several layers of "Audit Logs" to ensure that your business data remains accurate and your team remains accountable.

1. The Job Activity Feed

Every job in Brandkit has a dedicated feed that automatically logs "System Events." This include:
  • Status changes (e.g., 'DRAFT' to 'IN_PRODUCTION')
  • Assignment changes (who is responsible for the job)
  • Financial updates (changes to the job's total value)
  • Field updates (changes to due dates or notes)

  • 2. The Global Activity Feed

Beyond individual jobs, Brandkit maintains a workspace-wide activity feed. This allows administrators to see at a high level what is happening across the entire team, from new leads being created to jobs being completed.

    3. Critical Action Logging

For sensitive actions-such as restoring a deleted record or reverting a large data import-Brandkit creates an immutable entry in a dedicated Audit Log collection. These logs capture the 'Who, What, and When' of the action and cannot be edited or erased by standard users.

    4. Data Import History

Every time you import data via CSV, the system creates a unique import record. This allows you to audit exactly what was brought into the system and, if necessary, revert the entire import with a single click, safely removing only the records created in that batch.
