How Approvals are Tracked in Brandkit

In Brandkit, an "Approval" isn't just a label; it's a state change backed by a permanent record. We've built the system to ensure that once a decision is made, it is impossible to ignore.

Mockup & Design Sign-off

Every decoration detail in a job carries its own "Mockup Status." When a user or client approves a design, the system:
  • Updates the status to 'Approved'.
  • Logs the action in the Job's internal Activity Feed.
  • Records the User ID* and *Timestamp of the person who clicked the button.

  • Functional Workstreams

Brandkit uses specialized workstreams (Artwork, Purchasing, Production, etc.) that track their own statuses. Moving the Artwork status to "Complete" requires a clear sequence of events that prevents skipping critical steps.

    Milestone Tracking

For high-value projects, Brandkit uses Milestones. These are time-stamped goals (like 'Delivery Confirmed' or 'Approval Received') that provide an extra layer of oversight. Each milestone tracks its own completion status, ensuring that nothing moves to production until the prerequisite milestones are met.
